Here are some details on the upper north side of a home that we built in the Methow Valley of Washington State. Micheal Parks designed the project, and Micheal Parks Construction, Inc. served as the general contractor.  The design is a nod to the traditional monitor barn.  Seen here is the north side of the “monitor” with a large pop-out window that lights an upstairs studio.  The prominent “prow” and “Boston ridge” make a strong design statement along with the muted brown and tan colors that blend in nicely with the shrub steppe hillsides that surround the property.
